Welcome to the Programs of Beacons’ Early Learning Haven!

At our Center, we nurture confident, creative, and lifelong learners through play-based and immersive learning experiences. Our curriculum, inspired by the HighScope™ model and guided by Ontario’s ELECT framework and HDLH pedagogy, emphasizes holistic development, play, inquiry, and exploration. Here’s a peek into our vibrant programs, daily activities, and the unique role our Learning Friends play in your child’s learning journey.

TODDLER GROUPS

The ratio of 1 educator: 5 children
Our experienced educators tailor our program to meet each child’s unique needs, including bilingual communication, child-friendly stretching, yoga, breathing exercises, and outdoor workouts. Parents can stay connected with their child’s progress through the Brightwheel child management system.

Our Seedlings and Sprouts discovery zones promote large and small group learning and interaction with age-appropriate resources, a bilingual program, and outdoor activities.

The toddler years are a time of incredible growth and development. It's our job to provide children with the support they need to explore their newfound independence and develop their unique voice. By helping them learn to express their feelings in appropriate ways, respond to the emotions of others, and expand their language skills, we can inspire them to show interest in the world around them and engage in imaginative play. As they begin to regulate their behaviour, learn to be part of a group, and understand concepts and relationships, we can encourage them to reach their full potential and become the best versions of themselves.

A Day In The Life of Our Seedlings

At Beacons' Early Learning Haven, our tiny Seedlings kick off their day with warm hugs and cheerful greetings. Then it's storytime with Ollie O’Learn, who takes them on whimsical adventures through simple tales and rhymes. After a tasty snack, it's all about wiggling and giggling during movement activities with Wally the Walrus, helping them crawl, walk, and climb. Post-lunch, they enjoy a cozy nap.
