Welcome to the Programs of Beacons’ Early Learning Haven!

At our Center, we nurture confident, creative, and lifelong learners through play-based and immersive learning experiences. Our curriculum, inspired by the HighScope™ model and guided by Ontario’s ELECT framework and HDLH pedagogy, emphasizes holistic development, play, inquiry, and exploration. Here’s a peek into our vibrant programs, daily activities, and the unique role our Learning Friends play in your child’s learning journey.

PRESCHOOL

The ratio of 1 educator: 8 children

Preschoolers are curious learners who love exploring their surroundings and developing problem-solving skills, attention, and abstract thinking. Our educators observe and support their emerging skills, creating a positive learning environment and smooth transition to kindergarten. Classrooms are organized into centers with age-appropriate tools, becoming a third teacher. Structured routines and activities help children feel confident and competent.

Our resource-rich STEM lab sparks curiosity and promotes self-led discovery with educator assistance. We also support bilingual communication with dedicated ‘Parlons Francais’ and ‘Let’s Talk’ periods. At our center, we prioritize creating a nurturing, engaging environment with a variety of indoor and outdoor tools and toys. Daily activities keep preschoolers excited about learning and development.
